The government of Indonesia has met its financial allocation goal made as part of its renewed commitment to FP2020. Indonesia has also
successfully undertaken several South-South exchanges to share insights and promote FP. As of this reporting period, there are several important
guidelines regarding UHC; postpartum and postabortion care; FP services in places experiencing humanitarian crises; and FP services to youth and
adolescents that remain under review by the government.
FP2020 is an outcome of the 2012 London summit on FP where more than 20 governments made commitments to address the financing, policy, delivery and socio-cultural barriers to women accessing contraceptive information, services and supplies.
This report details progress being made towards achieving Zambia’s commitments to improving family planning focusing on partner participation and engagement.
Aims at supporting the government of Zambia meet the FP2020 commitments it made in July 2012 and later renewed in July 2017 at the Family Planning Summit in London respectively.
The objectives were to document organizations contributions towards the achievement of National FP2020 Commitments from October to December 2017 highlighting both barriers and solutions to overcome obstacles hindering the fulfilment of commitments made.
Zambia is committed to improving sustainable access to family planning and achieving the goals set out in 2012, specifically to increase the modern contraceptive prevalence rate among married women to 58% by 2020.
