DAMAR was born on December 23, 1999 and declared on February 10, 2000. DAMAR is an organization in the form of a membership-based association, and it houses three executive agencies. The DAMAR Women's Advocacy Institute considers that the service system for women victims of violence is sufficient to help women victims of violence in Lampung. Therefore, starting from 2009 - now, the DAMAR Women's Advocacy Institute has selected the issue of "Fulfilling the Basic Rights of Women", and advocating for: "Maternal and Child Health Rights", "Free and Quality Basic Education for All", and "Women's Political Rights" , "Anti Violence against Women", and "Anti Poverty".
