CHAI began operating in Nigeria in 2007 with a focus on increasing access to pediatric HIV treatments. CHAI works with the government to protect mothers by increasing awareness and access to essential family planning services to reduce unintended pregnancies; building management systems to ensure the delivery of high quality delivery services to prevent deaths of both women and infants that occur around labor and delivery; and supporting the government to create sustainable revenue streams to finance these programs. We also aim to reduce the prices of essential medicines, diagnostics, and other health products.
