Private health providers trained in provision of FP services annually Capacity building of health providers In the district level, under MyChoice program, JHPIEGO has trained in total 252 service providers from 91 health facilities in 16 pilot districts/cities for the implementation of post-partum FP services in the past year. JHPIEGO also established 10 new training centers for Provincial Level and 23 new training centers for Regency / District level to support the implementation of post-partum FP services. JHPIEGO also implemented tiered/level training system at the district level in MyChoice coverage region. Collaborated with FP district , district health office, and several provincial level training centers, JHPIEGO conduct Training of trainer (ToT) in district level for selected health facilities in 23 districts.
Regular capacity building of health providers in FP services Capacity building of health providers JHPIEGO supports BKKBN in the capacity building related post-partum FP services for training facilities in the provincial level so that materials and training competencies are pooled in the provincial level and can be scaled up in the districts level partnered with hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
Develop a policy on postpartum and post-abortion FP counselling and services pre-discharge Capacity building of health providers JHPIEGO, supported under MyChoice program, has actively involved in the capacity building of health providers, specifically in post-partum FP services. Piloting in 4 provinces and 11 districts, JHPIEGO aim to increase the use of post-partum contraceptives in selected health facilities. Within 2015-2018, 59% women who delivered in JHPIEGO health facilities had received counseling related to post-partum FP services, 51% of which chose to use post-partum contraceptives, and 75% of which chose long-acting methods contraceptives. At the national level, JHPIEGO also support the BKKBN in the development and revision of the National Guidelines for the Implementation of Post-partum FP services, as well as creating a web-based system to manage post-partum FP service data in the district level.
